It all began in 1979. Minnesota Physical Therapist, Jim Woog, and his assistant Shari Schroeder, saw a need in the market for high-quality, innovative physical therapy products.
Jim soon established OPTP (Orthopedic Physical Therapy Products) and collaborated with several well-known physical therapists from around the world. Through these relationships, Jim was able to introduce moderately priced, conservative methods of orthopedic physical therapy products to the United States.
Over the last 30 years our product lines have expanded and the company has grown steadily. OPTP has become a one-stop-shop for premium quality health and fitness related tools, offering you one of the most extensive and comprehensive websites and catalogs in the industry.
Throughout our evolution we never lost site of who we were/are as a company. Our goal then, and now, is to seek out and provide the professional and novice with the best, most effective health and rehabilitation tools available.
And while some things have changed at OPTP, some things have remained the same. Jim’s original assistant, Shari Schroeder, is president of the company and we still continue to collaborate with world renowned health and wellness professionals, maintaining exclusive distribution rights for many products by industry experts like Robin McKenzie, Freddy Kaltenborn, Brian Mulligan, Diane Lee and David Butler.
